Minecraft® Modding Masters

All of your child’s creations can be accessed through the following steps:

1. Download the projects as zip folders: 6/10, 6/24, 7/15, 7/29
2. Download Mcreator: https://mcreator.net/download
3. Import the zipped project file to Mcreator.
4. Use Mcreator to explore the Mod elements and run a test world to see all the elements in the game!

In Minecraft® Modding Masters this week, we covered the following topics:

• How games are designed:

  • Objects
  • Code
• Understanding what a Mod is and how it uses in-game properties to create new features
• Creating texture packs and custom Minecraft blocks
• Designing weapons, armor, and tools
• Creating new mobs (characters)
• Understanding GUI (Graphical User Interface) and creating your own
• Coding: Using scripts in Minecraft to modify items and events
• Final Projects: "My Own World" with original objects and code

To continue learning after the camps, your Ninjas can:

Use the skills you learned from the camp to design and create more mod packs in Mcreator and import them into your Minecraft world!
